Child Safety
Every person in the netball community has a responsibility to understand their role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care.
We (MVNC and Netball Victoria) are committed to promoting and protecting the rights of children and preventing abuse from occurring by fostering a culture where children feel safe and empowered.
We also seek to ensure the cultural safety of First Nations children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds and children with a disability.
Netball Victoria's Child Safeguarding Resource Hub has useful information, including for netball families.
Is English a second language for you? The Commission for Children and Young Persons Cultural Safety (CCYP) have translated the child safe information into approximately 20 languages that can be accessed here.

George is a point of contact at the club that children and adults can discuss or report concerns. Concerns will be handled calmly and sensitively.
Alternatively, you can lodge a complaint with Netball Victoria.
All complaints are handled in line with Netball Australia’s Netball Integrity Policy Framework, Conduct & Disciplinary Policy.
