OUR HISTORY

Mount View Netball Club History: 1990 - present

Mount View Netball Club, founded in 1990 by Val Rich and Linda Johnson, parents of Mount View Primary School students, emerging from a desire to maintain their daughter’s friendships post Grade 6 as they ventured into different High Schools and Colleges. Beginning with one team of 9 girls in the first year, the club growth and success were propelled by strong parental support, leading to the addition of more teams in the subsequent years.

Fuelled by increasing player numbers, strength and support, the club achieved a Certificate of Incorporation status in 1998.

Today, just as it was in the beginning, our club continues to be operated by committed parents. While the majority of players hail from Mount View Primary School, inclusivity is our ethos, extending a warm welcome to families beyond our immediate community.

Thanks to the close relationship which has been formed with the school, we now enjoy the wonderful training facilities of the Mount View undercover outdoor court.

Our coaching team comprises devoted volunteers, including parents and both past and present players. The club expresses gratitude to these dedicated individuals club and the kids. The club thanks our dedicated coaches. We actively invest in the development of our coaches so our players can benefit from their knowledge.
